Introduction by Don Cason
Report on Marketing and Litter Pick-up Results - Jenna
Rocky is back! He has made several appearances throughout the County.
Because of COVID, KRCB tried to keep the Fall litter-sweep to the regulars.
All the sign-ups were online, and there was a contactless supply pick-up and drop-off
Although the effort was smaller than in the past, lots of trash was collected.
Official totals have not yet been tallied, but are coming soon.
- Volunteer total so far: 133 bags
- Dixie Lawn Care (paid): 172 bags, over 63.5 miles
- Total so far: 305 bags
Budget Update - Don
The TDA has allocated an additional $7,500 for the paid Spring clean-up.
There will be a County Commissioner Report on November 2nd.
The budget should remain between $20,000 to $30,000 for this year.
KRCB donations – 501c3 donations – TAF - Don
TAF was the 501c3 entity that managed the donated fund to KRCB, but they will be dissolving at the end of this year.
The TDA has proposed that KRCB fund management be passed along to the Community Foundation of Henderson County, who manages the donated funds from the Rutherford Bound Capital Campaign.
The TDA has spoken with the Hickory Nut Gorge Foundation to manage these funds, but the directors do not feel that they can take on these efforts at this time.
If KRCB does elect to use CFHC’s services, the donation portal on the webpage will remain the same and all donations will remain tax-deductible with email and letter acknowledgements.
Motion to elect working with CFHC for the fund management of KRCB donations
Jenna to send this motion via email to the committee.
